As 2025 comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on one of our most meaningful and transformative years yet at Stannard Family Homes.
This year wasn’t just about handing over houses — it was about restoring lifestyles, welcoming families home, and continuing to evolve the way we build.
From metro living to Murraylands riverfronts, from family forever homes to holiday shacks rebuilt after the floods, every project carried its own story. And every handover reminded us why we do what we do: to create places where families can live, grow, gather, and make memories for decades to come.
2025: A Year of Milestones, Memories and Meaning
This year, we handed over more than 25 homes — around two per month. Behind each handover was a family, a journey, and a moment where dreams finally became real.
We watched:
- Kids sprint into brand-new bedrooms
- Parents picture their first Christmas lunch in their new kitchens
- Multiple families walk through riverfront shacks rebuilt after the 2022 floods
- Families come together, tear up, laugh, and celebrate what their new home represents
For many of our Murraylands families, this year was especially emotional. After the floods, we spent years designing and rebuilding holiday shacks — and in early 2025, we finally handed over the first of these homes. Standing in those finished spaces, seeing whole families reunited on the river again, was unforgettable.
These homes weren’t just builds.
They were comebacks.
They were healing.
They were the start of a new chapter.

The Rise of the Murraylands
One of the clearest success stories of 2025 was the momentum in the Murraylands.
We saw families embrace a lifestyle defined by:
- Wide-open spaces
- Community connection
- Slower pace living
- Thoughtful, timeless design
- Space for kids to grow and adults to breathe
From spacious riverfront shacks to beautifully practical family homes, the Murraylands reflected exactly what we love: building homes that are deeply aligned to the land and the people who will live on it.
And the demand isn’t slowing.
We already have a strong pipeline of Murraylands homes lined up for 2026 — and families who acted early this year are now preparing to spend Christmas in homes they once only imagined.
Learning, Improving and Elevating the Client Experience
Like every builder, the post-construction phase has been a challenge industry-wide. Trades are busier than ever, timelines are tighter, and the smallest 1% touch-ups can become the hardest to coordinate.
So this year, we evolved.
We introduced a full-time Maintenance Coordinator — dedicated solely to managing maintenance and aftercare.
No more juggling trades.
No more chasing.
No more uncertainty.
We also began working with specialist maintenance companies so touch-ups and minor finishes happen faster, smoother, and with much less disruption.
This shift has been a game changer — and it’s only the beginning of the improvements we're rolling into 2026.
A Year of Recognition and Growth
In 2025, we were honoured to receive recognition at the Association of Professional Builders Awards — a global benchmark in residential building excellence.
We proudly took home:
- Professional Builder of the Year (SA)
- Business Partner of the Year (awarded to Eryn)
These awards reflect the dedication of our entire team — from design and selections to construction and client care. They also reaffirm our commitment to building better, communicating better, and delivering homes families are proud of.
Looking Toward 2026: New Leadership, Sharper Focus and Better Builds
2026 marks an exciting new chapter for Stannard Family Homes.
This year, we welcomed Michael as our new General Manager — a registered architect with nearly two decades of council and industry experience. His expertise in planning and pre-construction will help us streamline the front-end of the building process, reduce delays, and get families building sooner.
And while Michael leads the business operations…
Ryan is returning to his roots.
Back on-site.
Hands-on.
Overseeing quality.
Driving construction standards.
It’s where he started 25 years ago, and where his passion has always lived.
